Now check the cube’s unsolved layer. Now you might have probably placed two edge pieces to the adjacent correct locations (as said earlier do not bother about the orientation). Now it will probably appear like the Pattern-3 given in the picture.

Now see the red /yellow and green / yellow are placed correctly. We have to swap pink /yellow with white / yellow.

To achieve this, now rotate the cube upside down and hold it, as given in the picture above. By doing so now we have turned the unsolved edge pink / Yellow towards us. And we are keeping the solved Red/ Yellow edge to our left side, green/ Yellow edge piece behind (far side) and another unsolved edge piece white /Yellow to our right side. Now apply “ MOVE-2”.

After applying “ MOVE-2” notice that one of the edge pieces which belong to the middle layer has come out of it’s correct location. But this time you know that we can put it back in place by applying either “ MOVE-1” or “MOVE-2” as normally we does to solve the middle layer. Now we have placed all the edge pieces to their correct locations. In the next section we will see how can we correct the orientation of the edge pieces.
